Forty years ago, the people of Southwestern Indiana imagined a University that would offer affordable higher education, prepare the workforce, contribute to economic development, and enhance the intellectual and cultural life of the region. Their vision became the University of Southern Indiana, serving with distinction from 1965-2005 and continuing to shape the future.
