Attend the Romain College of Business Innovative Speaker Lecture
Monday, March 23, 2015, at 6 p.m. in the Physical Activities Center on the USI Campus. The Romain College of Business Innovative Speaker Series is a bi-annual event for both the University and Tri-state communities. Through its Innovative Speaker Series, the Romain College of Business strives to present a speaker who has displayed leadership and innovation in the world of business. The 2015 speaker will be Ben Bernanke, former Chair of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. This is open to the public on a first come, first served seating.
Party on the Quad at the Annual Alumni Picnic
Saturday, June 6, 2015, on the Quad at USI. The USI Alumni Association invites you and your family and friends to join us on campus for the annual USI Alumni Picnic from 4-6 p.m. Adults and children of all ages will enjoy this event on the USI Quad. Picnic foods will be served inside University Center East. After the picnic, join us for music, festivities and catching up with friends. Adults will enjoy this event on the USI Quad. Come and enjoy music by the Duke Boys and a pig roast. Cash bar includes selections from Tin Man and Carson's breweries. Eat Steak with the Varsity Club
Thursday, September 17, 2015, at Burdette Park Discovery Lodge. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The community is invited to attend the 20th annual Varsity Club Steak Fry 'n Auction. This is a community favorite, which sells out each year, with live auction items, silent auction tables, theme baskets and a gift card bidding frenzy! Corporate tables are available for $350 (seats eight), or individual tickets can be purchased for $35. Proceeds from the event help fund student-athletic scholarships. Saturday, October 24, 2015, start times vary. This is a community event hosted by USI and Burdette Park open to all students, employees and families as well as members of the community. The program includes presentation of the Special Recognition Award, the Faculty Recognition Award and the Alumni Service Award. Experience USI history with the 50th Anniversary exhibits
The McCutchan Exhibition Space and Rice Library displays will host various exhibits throughout the year featuring both ISUE and USI memorabilia, including a visual quilt created from logo and event t-shirts, large Eagle Mascot, and photographs of events that relate to the social life of the University. Additional items to be exhibited are various buttons, cups, patches and other logo items that help tell the University's story.

Participate in the annual Martin Luther King Luncheon
Monday, January 19, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Carter Hall on USI's campus. The annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Luncheon will feature James D. Anderson Ph.D. , the Edward William and Jane Marr Gutsgell Professor of Education. His scholarship focuses broadly on the history of U.S. education, with specializations in the history of African American education in the South, the history of higher education desegregation, the history of public school desegregation and the history of African American school achievement in the 20th century. The luncheon encourages and inspires attendees to continue working for the cause of racial equality, for which Dr. King gave his life. Celebrate the 50th Anniversary by viewing a special exhibit at the Evansville Museum
Current and emeritus art faculty members will serve as guest curators to exhibit their work along with the work of selected former students in a series of Main Gallery exhibitions at the Evansville Museum. Through the "Master Teacher Series," each faculty member is invited to curate his or her exhibition independently. An illustrated catalogue will be produced for each exhibition with an introduction written by the Master Teacher. In keeping with the Museum's 20-year tradition of having an annual artist in residence, each of the Master Teachers will serve as a 2015 artist in residence by conducting a one-day workshop tailored to their particular media. Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at the Old National Events Plaza in downtown Evansville. Women's Equality Day Evansville commemorates the passage of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, granting women the right to vote. USI is the lead sponsor in 2015 with Indiana Supreme Court Justice Loretta Rush as the keynote speaker. The Supreme Court Justice also will spend time on the USI campus. Taste the ethnic heritage of our students
The signature event of the USI International Club, the International Food Expo, will feature the cuisines of 25 countries, prepared by the students themselves with help from Sodexo staff. Students will wear and display traditional clothing, and there will be entertainment and crafts. April 18 – May 29, 2015. The New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art will feature USI Faculty Michael Aakhus, Lenny Dowhie, William Leth, John McNaughton, Carolyn Roth and Kathryn Waters in a 1986 flashback exhibit.
