What is a USI Southern Hospitality Day?
A Southern Hospitality Day provides students with an opportunity to visit our
campus. The program is designed to give you the necessary information to
help with the college decision making process. You may submit your
application during the program, but there will be no class registration or
academic advising provided.

Southern Hospitality Days
Registration begins at 8:00 am (Central Standard Time). The welcome
presentation begins at 8:30 followed by two 25-minute interest sessions.
All academic areas will be represented during the interest sessions. After the
interest sessions, you
are given a walking tour of our campus facilities by one of
our Student Ambassadors.
Once the campus tours are complete you will have the opportunity to attend a
financial aid presentation to learn more about the financial aid process.
Following financial aid, you and your guests are treated to a sit down lunch.
Housing tours
begin after lunch. The housing tour gives you the opportunity to
view both the residence hall suites and our apartments. During this
time, Admission and Financial Aid offices will be open to
help answer questions that you may have.

To sign up for a Southern Hospitality Day, you can Register online or call the Office of Admission at (812) 464-1765 or (800) 467-1965. We will send you a letter of confirmation or an e-mail confirmation, if the e-mail address is provided on the registration form. Along with the confirmation, we will provide directions to USI and a list of area hotels. Please mark your calendar for this exciting event!
Individual
Visits
Individual visits are another option we provide for students
interested in visiting USI. During an individual visit, you will be able
to tour campus, housing, and meet with an admission counselor. Meetings
with faculty members can also be arranged upon request. Requests to meet
a faculty member should be submitted when you schedule your visit to campus.
Make an appointment to visit campus by registering on-line or by calling the Office of Admission at (812) 464-1765 or (800) 467-1965. To tailor your visit to your specific needs, we ask that you give us 48 hour notice to set up your appointment with an admission counselor and/or faculty. If you make an appointment on-line, we will contact you with appointment details.
During Summer months our Monday thru Friday tours consist of:
12:00 p.m. Campus tour
1:00 p.m. Housing tour
Saturday appointments, year round, consist of:
9:00 a.m. Campus tour
10:00 a.m. Housing tour
11:00 a.m. Admission Counselor meeting
From the third week of August to the first week of May, Monday through
Friday tours are as follows:
11:00 a.m. Campus tour
12:00 p.m. Housing tour
1:00 p.m. Campus tour
2:00 p.m. Housing tour
Admission Counselor and faculty appointments, if requested, will be
scheduled around tour times.
Please Note: The Office of Admission is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm (Central Time), between the 3rd week of August and the first week of May, and on Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Summer hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (CDT) Monday through Friday. Our office is also open on Saturday mornings from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm by appointment only.
