vice president for Advancement, was honored with a special
recognition from the USI Alumni Association at the Graduation
Celebration Dinner on May 4.
Standley was given the Alumni Association’s first Honorary Alumna

scholarship in her name. The award is for an individual who is not
a USI graduate but who has demonstrated extraordinary commitment
to the University and the Alumni Association.
Nancy Johnson, director of Alumni and Volunteer
Services, said the award was presented to Standley “in grateful
recognition of her tireless dedication to and always enthusiastic
support of the University and its alumni, her unflagging
commitment to excellence in every endeavor, and her stellar
