Make reservations for Steak Fry & Auction
Reservations for the Varsity Club Steak Fry & Auction are due
by Friday, September 7. The benefit for student athletes will be
held at the Discovery Lodge at Burdette Park on Thursday,
September 20. Tickets are $25.
The theme is “Screamin’ Safari” and attendees are encouraged to
wear safari attire. Food is provided by Western Ribeye & Ribs,
Jacob’s Pub, and Golden Corral, and prepared by the West Side
Nut Club.
The live auction will have some of the best bargains around,
including private vacation condominium packages, autographed
sports paraphernalia, and a Marx Barbecue Pig Roast for 140
people.
Prior to the live auction, the silent auction returns with
numerous autographed items and the popular theme-basket raffle.
The Varsity Club raised $33,000 last year and has raised more
than $250,000 since 1992 at the auction and dinner.
