Employer Opportunities
The College of Business through the USI Career Services and Placement and the USI Foundation offers a variety of opportunities to help employers reach our outstanding students and graduates.
Internships and cooperative education link the classroom with the workplace to provide an educational experience with career relevance. The program provides employers with career-minded and eager-to-learn employees. It offers students direct, hands-on training, preparing them to enter the workforce with relevant experience.
- Co-ops through Career Services
The co-op program offers two distinctly different patterns of study and work: parallel and alternate. The parallel pattern offers part-time work experience over an extended period of time while the student maintains a minimum academic load. The alternate pattern alternates between full-time work experience and full-time academic work on a semester basis for several semesters.
- Internships through Career Services
Internships are of shorter duration than a co-op assignment. Since each program option has benefits to different employers and students, programs are individually tailored to meet employer and student needs.
Part-time Employment through Career Services
- Employers can gain the professional services of degree-seeking students.
Full-time Employment through Career Services
- Career Services offers various services such as direct referral of candidates, Internet postings, campus interviewing, and job and graduate school fairs to help fill full-time professional positions.
Scholarships & Awards
- The USI Foundation makes it easy to set up a scholarship or give an award to an outstanding and deserving student.
- A list of the scholarships and awards that have been earned and awarded can be seen on the College of Business webpage.
