PED 297, Techniques Teaching Individual & Dual Sports, 2 hours
PED 298, Foundations of Physical Education, Sport & Exercise Science, 3 hours 
PED 299, Field Experience in Elementary School Physical Education, 1 hour

*PRAXIS I exam is pre-requisite for PED 395 and PED 396.  Students must provide evidence of passing PRAXIS I.

*EDUC 488, The Middle School Curricullum, 3 hours 
EDUC 493, Teaching Reading in Content Area, 3 hours 

*THESE COURSES MUST BE TAKEN CONCURRENTLY.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Satisfy 50 hour University Core Curriculum (UCC) requirement.
  • Students must have "C" or better in ALL courses to satisfy degree requirements.
  • Students must pass the PRAXIS I test SOPHOMORE YEAR. 
  • Application to teacher education is done after 55 hours have been completed. 
  • Application to student teaching is done 1 year prior to student teaching semester. 
  • Students MUST complete a minimum of 39 semester hours of 300-400 level classes.
  • BIOL 121 & BIOL 122 (Anatomy & Physiology I and II) are required for all Physical Education majors.
