Prepare to join the ranks of elite management finance and
accounting professionals as a Certified Management Accountant.
USI has partnered with the IMA™ to offer the NEW CMA Learning
System to aid in your professional development and as a study tool
to help you prepare for the four-part CMA Exam.
IMA’s CMA Learning System course combines live classroom instruction
with textbooks and online, interactive testing components to deliver
a comprehensive and customized learning experience in management
accounting and finance. These four convenient
courses involve 96 hours of classroom instruction and mirror the
four CMA Exam parts. Candidates receive the CMA
designation after successfully completing four computer-based exams
administered by the IMA. Parts 1-2 may be taken
in any order, but candidates must pass all three to be eligible to
take the Part 4 exam.

CMA PART 1: BUSINESS ANALYSIS NO. CMA501
Examine economics from a number of standpoints, beginning with factors
affecting the individual firm. After building a basic knowledge of
markets and pricing, study economic issues from a national
standpoint, examining challenges a government faces when determining
economic policy. Next is globalization, which looks at the concerns
nations and businesses must consider to conduct global trade and
introduces the institutions charged with creating and sustaining
global economic stability. Understanding of economics is then
applied to business concerns in a discussion of controls. This
course concludes with discussions of quantitative analysis methods
and financial statement analysis.

CMA PART 2: MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING AND
REPORTING NO. CMA502
Learn the basics of management accounting and reporting, which
includes budget preparation
methods, cost management tools, information management styles,
performance measurement
methods, and external financial reporting rules. Each section
includes a discussion of relevant
terminology, differing methods used, and relevant rules and
regulations that a management
accountant must know.

CMA PART 3: STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT

Cover a variety of topics related to business applications and
organizational management including organizational structures, jobs and
teams, leadership, motivation, and diversity issues. Discuss communication
in the organization and a number of behavioral issues related to alignment
goals, developing budgets and standards, performance evaluation, and
reporting. Conclude with a discussion of ethical considerations.
