What activities/organizations are you involved in?
As a USI student I have been involved with the USI Women's Choir, and next fall I am in the USI Chamber Choir. I am also an AMIGO.
What are you most looking forward to about Camp Eagle?
I was not able to go to camp as a camper, but I am excited to go as an Eagle Leader and meet all the students and experience
the camp with them. It should be a great part of the summer!
How did you get started as a student leader at USI?
I got started as a leader at USI by becoming an AMIGO, and I LOVE it!!
What was the biggest change from being a leader in high
school to a leader in college?
The biggest difference from being a leader in high school to a leader in college
I would say is that in college you have to choose and be dedicated to your leadership
position and your activities. In high school if you failed to meet all the requirements,
your teachers had your back most of the time. So you are definitely more independent, but
that makes being a leader even more a fulfilling feeling when you know how much you have
impacted and helped out another student or person.
What advice would you give a new student who aspires to
be a leader at USI?
I would tell them to "Go for it!!" They should do what makes
them happy and If they work hard to be a leader on campus they will be one
and maybe their peers will she the hard work and effort they put out and
either follow their classmates example or support them when they need help.
