Readmission to a Graduate Program
Any student who has been admitted to a graduate degree program, but who has not been continuously enrolled in and receiving graduate credit each semester of the academic year will need to apply for readmission to the Office of Graduate Studies. The student will be required to follow regulations in effect at the time of readmission. No fee is required for readmission.
Once submitted, readmission applications must be approved by the Program Director of your graduate program.
Readmission takes 3-5 working days.
Apply to USI
To apply for admission to graduate study at USI, you should research the program description and degree requirements on the web site of the graduate program. If you have any questions about the program or its requirements, contact the program director or the director of Graduate Studies at 465-7015, gssr@usi.edu.
Once you know what program you want and are fully familiar with its requirements, you will need to submit to Graduate Studies:
To be eligible for graduate study, you must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 2.5. (Some programs have a higher admission standard. Check the specific program description.)
Apply here by using our secure online admission application. Remember to notify us of all names under which you have attended other institutions and all colleges and universities attended.

To expedite the admission process, please contact the Registrar’s Office of all previous colleges and universities you have attended and have them send your transcript DIRECTLY FROM their Registrar’s Office to the following address: Graduate Studies Office |

Submitting Program Requirements
Send all supplemental program requirements (reference letters, resume, application essay, etc.) to the Office of Graduate Studies or gssr@usi.edu. Label all materials with your name, the program to which you are applying, and the semester you expect to attend.
