About Sorority Recruitment

Being Greek at USI means more than just wearing Greek letters, attending meetings, and participating in Greek Week. Being in a fraternity or a sorority is about making friendships that will last far beyond your college years and committing yourself to scholarship, leadership, and service. It is being respected for your individuality while being part of a brotherhood or sisterhood with individuals who share the same goals and values. Your brothers and sisters are there to support you, not just through your college years but throughout your entire life.

Formal Sorority Recruitment is a mutual selection process that allows you and the sorority members to become acquainted. Participating in Recruitment does not obligate you to join a sorority; it simply provides an opportunity for you to learn more about Greek life at the University of Southern Indiana. Formal recruitment takes place early each fall semester. There are limited opportunities to join a chapter outside of formal recruitment.

In order to participate in Sorority Recruitment their is a small fee of $20.00 which helps pay for supplies, food, drink etc. throughout the weekend. Interested students must be register and pay for recruitment by 6pm on Thursday September 15th.

If you are interested in joining a sorority and would like more information, please contact visit the Fraternity/Sorority Life Office in the Student Involvement Center in University Center East or email us at USI1Greek@usi.edu or call 812.465.7167.
