The Student Writers Union is a small, but active, group of students who have an interest in creative writing, editing, and publishing. The group meets weekly at a local coffeehouse where their own creative writing is workshopped. They discuss ideas and theories related to the process of writing, as well as new books of interest. During the spring semester the Writers Union is responsible for collecting submissions and for publishing The Aerie, a student journal of arts and letters. The group is open to any student at USI.
