
Eagles fall to Augusta State

The University of Southern Indiana baseball team gave up double digit runs for the second day in a row, falling to Augusta State University, 11-4, in Augusta, Georgia Tuesday afternoon. The Screaming Eagles fall to 4-4 overall, while Augusta State goes to a 9-8 mark.
The bright spot for USI today was sophomore leftfielder Andy Nucci (Ft. Wayne, Indiana), who went three-for-five with a run scored and an RBI. Sophomore shortstop Josh Perkins (Lafayette, Indiana) joined Nucci with multiple hits, going two-for-five with a run scored.
The Eagles will try to get back on track against Augusta State Wednesday, March 7, in a 1 p.m. contest.
