Patient seen in clinic:
Mr. Payne N. Dalegge
Exam reveals:
Patient is visibly and recently tanned.
He is a college student.
He returned two days ago from a trip to the Caribbean.
On the last day of the trip, he noticed that his right leg was sore and tender to the touch.
Although he did not remember actually hurting it, he was scuba diving the day before and may have scraped up against some sharp coral.
Today, his leg is warm to the touch and he is favoring his left leg.
Temperature, pulse, and respiration are all within normal limits.
Physical exam is normal except for a
red, edematous right leg
.
Patient's primary concern is if he will be able to tap dance again.
