This course introduces active and critical reading strategies that will enable the student to learn to predict, connect, question, organize, and evaluate information. Furthermore, the student will develop a repertoire of reading techniques that will be applied to other content areas and will encourage flexibility and efficiency in reading across the academic disciplines. The student whose high school GPA and SAT or ACT scores meet the University’s established level of readiness may enroll in this course. This is a 3-hour credit course.
