Evaluating Sources on the Web

To be successful and remain
in college, you will need to
possess the following
personal knowledge.

KNOW
that you are the person who is responsible
for your learning, not your teacher, your
advisor, a counselor, your parents, or your
boyfriend or girlfriend.

KNOW
that being frustrated is a normal part of the
learning process, and that those who learn
are those who persist beyond the frustration.

KNOW
why you want an education, so when the
process is tough, your "Why I am here" is strong
enough to keep you going through the rough spots.

Jeanie Nunn, former SI Specialist

A few tips from students on what it takes to be successful

"Keep up on your work; don't fall behind.  Always get to know your teacher."
