Student Support Services

Bradley Bates

Biography For Michael Minton
Biography:
Prior to working within the Student Support Services program here at USI, Brad taught in public schools across the country (Louisville, KY; Noblesville, IN; Bloomfield, IN; Fayetteville, NC).  While teaching, Brad worked on obtaining an M.S. in Academic Advising though Kansas State University.   Although teaching at the elementary level was very rewarding, Brad feels that working with college students affords him the opportunity to have an immediate impact in students’ futures and outlooks of the world around them.   Along with his academic advising responsibilities, Brad is responsible for the programming of events for the SSS program including an etiquette dinner, academic workshops and hosting cultural/social events for the program participants.  Brad is currently working on his second master’s degree, this time at USI in Elementary Education.  Previously, he spent a small amount of time as a student here at USI completing the Transition to Teaching program from 2004-2005.  He has a bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration from the University of Indianapolis and was a member of the Greyhound baseball team.
