Members of the Academic Planning Council include the provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, the vice provost for outreach, the assistant provost for undergraduate studies, the vice president for Business Affairs, the vice president for Student Affairs, the vice president for University Relations, the academic deans, the director of Library Services, the director of Graduate Studies and Sponsored Research, the Registrar, the director of faculty development, the chair of Faculty Senate, and the chair of the Curriculum Committee.
The major function of the Academic Planning Council is to recommend to the president of the University the feasibility of initiating new majors, minors, or programs, and to annually review the Higher Education Services plans and programs.
