Schedule A Visit
A Southern Hospitality Day provides students with an opportunity to visit our campus. The program is designed to give you the necessary information to help with the college decision making process. You may submit your application during the program, but there will be no class registration or academic advising provided.
To sign up for a Southern Hospitality Day, you can register online or call the Office of Admission at 812/464-1765 or 800/467-1965. We will send you a letter of confirmation or an e-mail confirmation, if the e-mail address is provided on the registration form. Along with the confirmation, we will provide directions to USI and a list of area hotels. Please mark your calendar for this exciting event!
Individual visits are another option we provide for students interested in visiting USI. During an individual visit, you will be able to tour campus, housing, and meet with an admission counselor. (Tour Info) Meetings with faculty members can also be arranged upon request. Requests to meet a faculty member should be submitted when you schedule your visit to campus.
Make an appointment to visit campus by registering on-line or by calling the Office of Admission at 812/464-1765 or 800/467-1965. To tailor your visit to your specific needs, we ask that you give us 48 hour notice to set up your appointment with an admission counselor and/or faculty. If you make an appointment on-line, we will contact you with appointment details.
The Office of Admission is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Central Time), between August 22, 2012, and the first week of May 2013, and on Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday visits, that are not Southern Hospitality Days, are limited to an academic tour at 9:00 am and a student life tour at 10:00 am. After the tours visitors will have the opportunity to meet with a member of the USI Admission staff. These visits are by appointment only.
After December 8, 2012 the USI Office of Admission will be open on selected Saturdays that are not Southern Hospitality Days. If you choose to visit on a non SHD Saturday, during the Spring 2013 semester, you should plan to visit on one of the following Saturdays: January 19th, January 26th, March 23rd, April 20th, May 4th, May 18th, June 1st, June 22nd, July 13th, July 27th, August 10th, or August 24th.
Summer hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (CDT) Monday through Friday.
Bilingual tour guides (Spanish speaking only) are available upon request.
