Incoming Freshmen Students
Undergraduate
admission requirements and procedures
Each
freshman applicant is reviewed on an individual basis and is evaluated on
the following areas from his/her high school transcript:
*four years of English
*three to four years of laboratory science
*three years of social studies
*three to four years of mathematics
The Admission Committee also considers:
*SAT(1) and/or ACT
composite scores
*academic achievement (grade point average, class rank)
*extra-curricular involvement
*recommendations from counselors
Transcripts recording any course work completed while in high school that could be consider for college credit including university level/dual credit courses, Advanced Placement (AP), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), or International Baccalaureate (IB), should be submitted with the Application for Undergraduate Admission.
Honors program
The Honors Program offers enhanced opportunities for students who
show outstanding academic promise. Students with an SAT score of 1200
(critical reading and math) or 1800 (critical reading, math, and writing
sample) or ACT composite of 27 or higher are automatically accepted to the
Honors Program upon admission.
