Hupfer Named Assistant Vice President for Business Affairs

Mary Hupfer has been promoted to assistant vice president for Business Affairs. She joined the Uni

versity in 1989 as a budget officer. In 1993 she was named budget director, and the USI Foundation fiscal officer responsibilities were added in 1997. She was promoted to director of University Budgets in 2002. She earned her baccalaureate degree in 1984 and her M.B.A. degree in 1994. Both degrees are from USI.

Hupfer has been active on University committees and in community service. Currently she is a member of the USI Foundation Finance Committee, ex-officio member on the Academic Planning Council, a member of the Banner Finance Process Team, and a member of the self-study committee. In the community, she is a volunteer for the Community Foundation Alliance and a volunteer bookkeeper and member of the Finance Committee for St. Boniface Catholic Church. She has served on the board of Hands on Discovery Children’s Museum and as a volunteer for Bethel Manor Nursing Home and Boys and Girls Club.
