USI's Higher Education Day at the Statehouse is rescheduled to April 8, 2003

Please mark your calendar! Tuesday, April 8, 2003, is the rescheduled date for USI Higher Education Day at the Statehouse. Members of the Student Government Association and the USI Alumni Association are invited to join together at the Statehouse in Indianapolis to meet with legislators to discuss the needs of higher education, especially the needs of USI.

We would like for you to be a part of USI Higher Education Day at the Statehouse! We plan to meet at the Westin Hotel in the State Room, 50 South Capitol Avenue in Indianapolis at 11:00 a.m. There will be a brief orientation about USI's 2003-2005 biennial budget request and you will receive a packet with information about the University's budget request. There will be a luncheon for USI supporters and legislators beginning at 11:45 a.m. Following the luncheon around 1:00 p.m., we will walk to the Statehouse to view the Senate and House of Representatives in session and to make personal contacts with legislators. There will be a brief tour of the statehouse beginning at 2:15 p.m.

In order for legislators to recognize your affiliation with USI, you are encouraged to wear your USI lapel pin, USI organization name tag, or a USI sweater or shirt. You will receive a name tag with your packet.

We need your help and hope you will be a part of the USI Higher Education Day at the Statehouse. Please remember that Indianapolis and Evansville are on the same time beginning April 6.
