Spring SIR now available
 

The spring 2003 issue of Southern Indiana Review - University of Southern Indiana's national literary magazine - is now available at the USI Bookstore. Barnes & Noble Booksellers and Golden Raintree Books in New Harmony also plan to carry the magazine.

Featuring poetry, fiction, translation, reviews, and art, SIR showcases the talents of emerging and established writers and artists from across the Midwest and the country.

Award-winning authors, teachers, professors, and artists are among the contributors, including Joseph Bathani, William Brown, Leah Kornfeld Friedman, R.M. Kinder, David Shumate, and Charles David Kleymeyer, an Evansville native interested in the folk literature of South America. Seven members of the USI faculty also are among the contributors:

USI's School of Liberal Arts sponsors the SIR, which receives support from the Indiana Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.

The magazine price is $10 per copy. To obtain one by mail: Send a mailing address and check to Southern Indiana Review, Liberal Arts Center, USI, 8600 University Boulevard, Evansville, IN  47712. Yearly subscriptions, two issues, are $16. Subscriptions may be made online by

Submissions of poetry, fiction, interviews, artwork, photography, critical essays, and reviews are accepted between October 1 and January 1. Submission information also is availa
