The Career Mentor Program allows 20 junior students, to be paired with a USI graduate in their field of interest. Students are selected and interviewed late in November through early December. Once selected, a committee will match the student with a graduate in the student's field of study. The mentoring program will run from February through April. Activities may include job shadowing, introductions to others in a career field, resume assistance, mock interviews, and any other objectives/goals determined by you and your mentor. Click here to apply! or pick up an application in the Alumni & Volunteer Services Office.
This program provides freshman and sophomore students a chance to experience what really happens from 9 to 5. Students choose their particular field of interest, then spend the day with a USI graduate observing the daily work routine. This match takes place during the spring semester. It's a great way to gain valuable career information, expand career networks, and develop confidence. The Office of Alumni and Volunteer Services maintains a list of alumni participating in the program and has the application forms for students.
