The University of Southern Indiana's bluebird trail is a combination nature/research project. We have 50 houses around the perimeter of campus. Each year, a biology or science education major works with the project gathering nesting data. We have one area of campus that has three experimental designs of nest boxes. Other than that spot, we use a Kentucky slot house.

February 16 - Bluebird Trail Cleanup Day - preparing for the Spring arrival of the Bluebirds: one of our volunteers is checking to see "what's in the box." Another volunteer follows Dr. Price's direction in preparing for the mother bird's return.
