Information Systems Track

The Information Systems Track is one of five specialized tracks developed for BA or BS Accounting and Professional Services majors at USI. 

Accountants in public practice often provide management advisory services to businesses and organizations, which frequently include computer consulting. They also typically utilize information systems using computers in a business or organizational environment. The Information Systems Track is an excellent educational opportunity for students who aspire to a career involving:

  • computer consulting services
  • information systems auditing and assurance
  • assessment of information technology feasibility
  • assessment of information systems internal controls

Accountants in the Information Systems area may also be certified as Certified Information Systems Auditors (CISA).

CIS 377 - Introduction to Database Concepts
CIS 454 - Managing Information Technology
