Scholarships & Awards

An Honors Program to celebrate students in the College of Business at the University of Southern Indiana who excelled in the classroom, earned scholarships, and received academic achievement awards was held on Thursday, March 26, 2009. The yearly program also recognizes the generous donors who have contributed to these education programs by establishing scholarships in the USI Foundation.

The students and the awards they received are listed here.


The list below is is not intended to be a complete and accurate list, but rather a means to help students be aware that various scholarships and awards are available.

The application deadline for all College of Business Scholarships & Awards is the first Friday in December (subject to change without notice).

  • Altrusa International Scholarship -- For a female temporary U.S.A. resident studying business
     
  • Larry W. Arp Business Scholarship -- For a junior or senior business major with preference to student athlete or business education major
     
  • Atlas World Group Technology Scholarship -- For a sophomore or junior CIS/CS major who shows involvement in University, student, or professional organizations and community service or service-learning activities

  • BKD Accounting Award -- For outstanding junior accounting major pursuing a career in public accounting in Indiana with demonstrated leadership qualities
     
  • Becker CPA Review Scholarship -- For an accounting major with the highest GPA
     
  • Henry J. and Hazel D. Bennighof Scholarship -- For outstanding students from Indiana
     
  • Robert G. & Cindy B. Bernardin Business Award -- For a bright and deserving student
     
  • John and Carol Bolger Business Scholarship -- For a promising business student
     
  • Charles H. & Margaret A. Braun Scholarship -- For students from families of Industrial Contractors and its affiliates

  • Thompson H. Burckhartt Memorial Scholarship -- For a business major from Posey County

  • C. Jack Buschkill Scholarship for Business -- For business administration management major at top of class
     
  • Jennings D. & Josephine K. Carter Deans Scholarship -- For an outstanding student with exceptional high school class ranking and SAT score

  • William E. and Rebecca N. Couch Scholarship -- For promising business majors
     
  • Cowley-Vogelback Scholarship -- For a Bright and deserving business administration majors
     
  • Craig R. Ehlen Scholarship -- For a junior accounting major who has expressed an interest in pursuing a career in public accounting, internal auditing, or forensic accounting/fraud accounting

  • Dr. John A. and Grace Helfrich Eisterhold Scholarship -- For a bright and deserving student with preference to a Mater Dei graduate

  • Evansville Business and Professional Women’s Club Scholarship -- For a female student who has returned to school to prepare for business career
     
  • Expressway Dodge Annual Marketing Award -- For a marketing student with a positive attitude and strong academic achievement
     
  • Phil Fisher Business Scholarship -- For a non-traditional student majoring in business, economics, or computer science
     
  • Dona F. Frost Memorial Scholarship -- For a business education major who demonstrates enthusiasm to become a business teacher
     
  • Pamela Grubb Memorial Scholarship -- For a bright and deserving student chosen by the Faculty Senate Student Affairs Committee

  • Susie & Richard A. Gumberts Business Scholarship -- For bright and deserving full-time business students

  • Institute of Management Accountants Outstanding Junior Scholarship -- For the outstanding junior accounting major
     
  • Institute of Management Accountants Outstanding Student Award --For the outstanding accounting major

  • Walter Jermakowicz Memorial Scholarship for International Studies -- For a business or economics major to study abroad
     
  • Kaplan CPA Review Scholarship -- For an Accounting/MBA/MSA student who is planning to sit for the CPA examination
     
  • Keller-Schroeder Technology Scholarship -- For a sophomore or junior CIS/ACS major who shows involvement in University, student, or professional organizations and community service or serving learning activities
     
  • Kemper CPA Group Accounting Award -- For bright junior and senior accounting majors with focus on public accounting who demonstrates campus leadership
     
  • Clifford A. and Ruth M. Kleymeyer Memorial Scholarship -- For Posey or Vanderburgh County high school seniors who demonstrate interest in school, church, and community.

  • R. Malcolm Koch Memorial Scholarship -- For a finance or economics major with high academic achievement

  • Tim Mahoney Business Scholarship -- For business majors demonstrating university and community service
     
  • Barbara J. and Edward D. Marting Scholarship -- For a top accounting or management major
