Showcase of UPCI Lab and iMotions Biometric Technology A Huge Success

More than 80 students, faculty, and members of the USI community had a chance to attend and participate in two events that showcased the Romain College's User Perception, Cognition and Interaction (UPCI) lab and lab's technology partner, iMotions.

Faculty Session: Exploring the Benefits of Integrating Biometric Sensors with Your Research

Nineteen USI faculty and administrators explored ideas on how to integrate biometric sensor technology to enhance their human behavior research. Participants represented a wide range of disciplines across the USI campus, including business, engineering, health professions, and liberal arts.

Open Session: Biometric Sensors: The Frontier of Human Behavior Research

In the open session, nearly 70 attendees had the chance to experience hands-on the various biometric sensor tools:

  • mobile glasses
  • eye tracking
  • galvanic skin response
  • facial expression
  • EEG/brain activity
