
Biography
Ms. Maier-Lytle earned the M.B.A. and B.S. degrees from the University
of Southern Indiana. She also earned a Consulting Associate Certification
from the Main Event Management Institute while employed at American
General Finance.
Ms. Maier-Lytle’s teaching emphasis is in the areas of financial,
managerial and cost accounting. Her current research efforts focus on cost
behavior in manufacturing and health care facilities, with particular
emphasis in activity based costing.
Ms. Maier-Lytle is a Certified Public Accountant and has professional
experience in corporate accounting and consulting. She has served as Staff
Accountant and Consultant of a financial institution and as a Management
Accountant of a manufacturing facility. She is currently serving as
Director, Special Activities, on the Board of Directors of the Institute
of Management Accountants, Treasurer for the Literacy Center, and
IMA Director of Academic Affairs and Student Relations. She has
worked on consulting projects in the areas of software vendor analysis,
software design and implementation, procedure development and
documentation, new program implementation and survey analysis. She also
provided managerial accounting training for a local manufacturing company.
Ms. Maier-Lytle enjoys spending time with her family, which includes
her husband, Joe; three sons, Adam, Alex, and Austin; and a stepdaughter, Kelsea.
They reside in Lynnville and spend a lot of their free time camping and
boating. She also enjoys water skiing, reading and watching
her children play ball.
