Accounting & Professional Services Club
The Accounting and Professional Services Club is a professional organization composed of accounting majors and others interested in accounting as a profession. The club is a student affiliate member of the Institute Management Accountants (IMA), a national organization of professional accountants. The club is an affiliate of the Evansville Chapter of IMA. As a member of the IMA, the club competes on a national level with other accounting clubs.
The objectives of the Accounting and Professional Services Club are as follows:
- Increase student knowledge of the accounting profession
- Promote opportunities for student interaction with the local accounting community
- Encourage a sense of professionalism and cohesion among accounting majors
- Provide opportunities for social interaction of faculty and students
Officers are elected each spring for terms which run from September-May. Meetings are held every other Thursday in conjunction with Beta Alpha Psi meetings. Dues are $15 per semester.
