Student Clubs and
Organizations
Offer Many Benefits to Students
As you think about what you want to
accomplish during your years in college, you might want to consider joining
one of these groups. Graduates look back at their experiences with student
clubs and organizations as a valuable part of their education. When students
affiliate with these groups they:
- Meet successful students in their
major – students who have helped them with their classes.
- Meet with professionals in their
major field – begin to develop a network of contacts
- Explore their field of study first hand;
well beyond the classroom
- Interact with business faculty in
and outside of their business major
- Develop organizational, social and
leadership skills; skills sought by potential employers
- Assume responsibilities and achieve
objectives that can be noted on their resume
- Undertake projects and activities
that improve their own university experience and improve their
employability in an internship/coop, part-time position before or after
graduation
Check out these organizations. All
welcome new members.
