Rates will be based on where the lodging is obtained for the evening, except on the nights when a traveler returns home. Rates will then be based on the allowance for the entire trip.

Same-day Per Diem Rates
A traveler who is in travel status for more than 12 hours and does not have an overnight stay, will qualify for 1/2 of the "in-state" rate. No per diem is paid to a traveler who is in travel status for less than 12 hours.
