Review the schedules and announcements posted near the candidate registration area.

Use the floor plan to locate where each employer is located.

Use the Open Fair period to contact employers and secure any interviewing time slots that may still be open.

During the Open Fair, visit all employers of any interest to you, even if they have not indicated an interest in your certification area. It is possible that the employers needs have changed or will change to include your certification, Recruiters travel far distances just to share information about their school district’s opportunities.

Make a point to thank the sponsor recruiters. The sponsors are highlighted in this program. Not only do they support the event by attending, they also support the event financially.

If you are not flexible regarding the school districts with whom you will interview, you may not have any individual interviews in the afternoon.

If you have a question about an offer or questions asked in an interview, please see one of the Career Services contacts from the supporting Universities/Colleges.

We recommend you DO NOT sign any contracts at TRF.  Take information home to thoroughly review before committing to a position.

Regarding Interviews:
Smile, give a firm handshake, relax, and be yourself.

Make sure you get the names (proper spellings) and addresses of the interviewer. You’ll need these later.

Ask questions! Use this as an opportunity to learn more about the different school districts.

After TRF:
Send thank you letters to the employers with whom you met.

If you promised to submit additional materials, such as placement files, transcripts, or applications, send them immediately.
