Children enrolled in the two-year old class must enroll full-time. In addition to our two full-day preschool classes, we also offer a half-day preschool program that meets two (TTh), three (MWF) or five mornings per week during the academic year, from 8:30 a.m.- 12:15 p.m. and is available for community children, as well as those whose parents are affiliated with USI. Fees for this program are included on the Fees & Financial Assistance page.

Spaces available:
Occasional schedule changes after the start of fall and spring classes, may open additional spots. If you are interested in sending your child to the Children's Center during the 2012-2013 academic year, call to have your name placed on the waiting list.

The Half-Day Preschool Program:
This program is for children ages 3-5 that meets MWF and/or TTh during the academic school year. Names are being accepted for a wait list and for the 2012-2013 school year. Call 812-464-1869 for more information.

2013 Summer Enrichment Camp & Kindergarten Camps:

USI's Summer Enrichment Camp (SECamp) is a summer child care program for school-agers, 7-10 years old, located in the lower level of USI's Rice Library. The 2013 SECamp for ages 7-10, opens at 6:45 a.m. and closes at 5:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. Children enrolled full-time for the entire summer are allowed one week's vacation with no payment due. Part-time campers are accepted, if space allows (MWF or TTh only).

Kindergarten Camp (K-Camp) at the USI Children's Learning Center is available to children who are entering kindergarten in the fall of 2013; K-Camp is Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-5:15 p.m. The recently added KCamp2 is housed in the lower level of Rice Library, next to the Summer Enrichment Camp, and enrolls children who are entering 1st grade in the fall of 2013. KCamp2 is open Monday-Friday from 6:45 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

For more information, or to be added to the mailing list for SECamp, KCamp, or KCamp2, call USI Center for Education Services & Partnerships, 812/464-1989.

Directions to Center:
After entering campus on the overpass, turn right onto the first road, Clarke Lane.  Continue straight to the end of the large parking lot, just before the road begins to curve. The Children's Learning Center is on the right. You may park in the small drop-off lot, behind the Center; or, if full, park in the large lot across the road. If you park across the road, remember that Clarke Lane is a VERY busy thoroughfare, so be cautious and stay within the crosswalks.
