Why See a Counselor?

 

National Testing Programs

The Counseling Center is responsible for proctoring and/or distributing information about national testing programs.

• We disseminate information about these programs:
  

  ACT
  SAT

  You may directly visit the national testing program web sites for additional information and registration forms: www.collegeboard.com for SAT and http://www.actstudent.org for ACT.

• We liaison with national testing services to assist you in obtaining your test scores and getting your questions answered.
   
• We proctor these exams:
  

  SAT
  ACT
  National Dental Hygiene Board Exams
  Dietary Managers Certification Exams

• Please contact your local test center for College Level Examination Program (CLEP) testing information, or go to the national testing web site for information and registration forms at: www.collegeboard.com
   
• Referral can be provided to local community professionals for diagnostic testing for disabilities; please schedule an appointment with a counselor

National Test Dates

The following are the nationwide testing dates for the ACT and SAT exams that are proctored at the University of Southern Indiana. All national, admissions testing requires prior registration with the appropriate national testing program. All registered students must check-in at the registration table before 8:00 a.m. and must bring an admission ticket, mailed from the national testing program or printed online, and a valid picture identification card. To register for a national test date, please contact the corresponding national testing program for a registration packet.

CLEP:
The Evansville location for CLEP tests:  IVY Tech Workforce Certification Center located in the First Avenue Plaza at 3401 First Avenue. Please call (812) 429-9852 for more information or to schedule testing. A registration form is available online at www.collegeboard.com

 

SAT Prepartory Classes - call USI Extended Services at (812) 464-1989.
