Available Assistance

CampusCounseling Center staff have developed a number of resources to help students with disabilities better participate in educational programming and benefit from an accessible environment. These disability resources are different from the services provided to students through Student Support Services (SSS.)  For more information about or to apply for SSS, please follow the link found on the Student Support Services web site.

Documentation of your disability must be received and your eligibility verified in the Counseling Center before our staff are able to endorse your qualification for academic accommodations from your professors, for placement testing accommodations, or for application to Student Support Services.

Intake Forms

Based on a student's qualification for specific accommodations, the following assistance and resources may be available:

  • Note taker supplies and copy services

  • Referral to available tutoring resources in the Academic Skills Center
  • Facilitation of adaptive technology requests
  • Scheduling of accessible tables and chairs for the classroom
