VA Tutor Payment Service for Disabled Vets

In order to qualify for this service, students must present the Assistant Director with an authorization from their Veteran's Administration counselor or coordinator showing how many hours and the rate VA is willing to pay, fill out a request form in the Counseling Center, and provide the counselor with the name and contact information for the tutor they want to hire.

If your prefer, you may download the VA Tutor Request form using Adobe Acrobat. Please bring your completed request form to the Counseling Center in room 1051 of the Orr Center, Monday through Friday between 8 am and 4:30 pm. The authorization from your VA coordinator can be faxed to 812-461-5288.

Please note: if a student's situation or qualifications change with VA, it is important to notify the Counseling Center staff immediately. Students whose situations change may be billed for any accrued tutoring fees for which they are no longer entitled through the Veteran's Administration.

Please call the Counseling Center at 812/464-1867 for more information. All other Veteran's Administration students should seek guidance for hiring tutors with the VA coordinator at 812/464-1857 or in the Registrar's Office.
