The mission of USI's Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence is to promote effective teaching, support continued faculty development, and to facilitate the University community's efforts to provide effective learning experiences for students.

What we do:

• Serve as a clearinghouse for information about activities, resources, and projects related to the enhancement of teaching and learning.
• Acquire and distribute grant monies for new course development, assessment of student learning, exploration of innovative teaching methods, and/or research on issues related to teaching and learning.
• Provide workshops designed to enhance specific teaching skills for both full- and part-time faculty.
• Provide support in addressing special teaching and learning needs.
  Provide assistance to new educators on campus.
  Develop a synergistic relationship between the various campus resources directed toward teaching and learning.
