Many distance education
courses at USI utilize Blackboard,
an Internet-based
course management software. Instructors may choose to use any of the
features of this software that includes organizational, communication, and
other tools. Blackboard is available to both full-time and part-time
faculty.
USI students and faculty access Blackboard through MyUSI.
To do this, go to http://www.usieagles.org
and input your username and PIN number. Once in MyUSI, click the "Login
to Blackboard" link on the right-hand side of the screen.
When logging in to MyUSI,
your username is the first part of your USI email address (the part
that comes before the @ symbol). For example, if your email address is jaydoe@usieagles.org,
your username is jaydoe. If
you have any trouble obtaining your USI email address or MyUSI user ID, call
the Computer Center
at 812/465-1080. This username will be used for MyUSI , Blackboard, the
Rice Remote Library Portal, as well as for your e-mail identity.
Your MyUSI PIN number is a 6-digit random number sent to you in a
letter from the Office of Admission.
Non-USI students enrolled in USI distance education courses through the
Indiana College Network will receive an email from the DE Learning Center
containing their user names and initial passwords. If you have not yet
received this email, contact the DE
Learning Center.
Please review USI's Data
Communication and Computer Use Policy, which must be followed by all
Blackboard users.
