Workshop A - Ancient Technology: Write Like an Egyptian (and a Babylonian!)
Writing was one of the most important technologies that developed in ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. Around 5,000 years ago, two different writing systems were invented by people living in these regions: Egyptian hieroglyphs and Babylonian cuneiform. Learn how and why the first writing systems were invented, and write your name in hieroglyphs on ‘papyrus’ and in cuneiform on a clay tablet, just like ancient people did!

An Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) is something that you see hanging on the walls in airports and malls. The AED is an instrument used to deliver shocks to a person who has collapsed. In this workshop you will learn how to operate an AED.
