Online Student Readiness Assessment
Students enrolled in a Distance Learning course or program tend to have different needs, expectations, priorities, and readiness level about their online studies than the traditional campus students. The Department of Distance Learning at USI is eager to understand students' readiness level for their online study and we devote every effort to provide needed online student support services to facilitate student's online learning success.
Starting in Spring 2013, a task force team of USI faculty, advisors, department dean, IT liaisons, and Distance Learning staff has formed to research and develop solutions to evaluate students’ readiness level for Distance Learning. The SmarterMeasure system has identified to be the assessment tool, and two pilots have scheduled to be conducted in spring and summer 2013 before the a larger campus implementation is launched in FY 2013 - 2014.
Faculty who desire to join Pilot 2 experiment in summer 2013, please contact Distance Learning at (812) 465-1010 for details.
