60 unapproved Distance Learning courses have been offered between year 2012 and 2014 (Proposals received from some of them). Before these courses are offered as the Distance Learning courses (.NO) again, the assigned course instructor/developer will need to

  1. Email the signed Distance Learning Course Development Proposal Form and a copy of the existing course syllabus to
  2. Faculty have the option to either develop the course along or with a faculty cohort by joining the Online Course Development Program.
  3. Call 812/228-5124 and schedule a 30-min meeting with the Distance Learning consultant to review the online delivery details and have the course approved [requirements].

 101 Distance Learning course development proposals are received  for approval. The Department of Distance Learning will work with the course instructors/developers and get these courses approved based on the course delivery date. View the Pending List

The department chair/director can list an unapproved course on the printed schedule for the following term as long the course instructor 

  1. submit the signed copy of the course development proposal form and the existing syllabus to
  2. identify or request a spare Blackboard board course site for development purpose. (send your request to
  3. Conduct a 30-min initial meeting with the Distance Learning Consultant (Call 812/228-5124 to schedule the meeting).
