A total of 10 concurrent sessions are available for the USI community to share on a first-come, first-serve basis. Faculty can now request for a meeting session by contacting the Department of Distance Learning at 812/228-5124 or email to email@example.com. An email confirmation will be sent within 2 business days after the request is received.
Do your students know what Online Meeting is all about?
- Include a paragraph about online meetings in the syllabus
- Post instructions on how to participate in an online meeting on Blackboard Collaborate
Does every student (meeting participant) have a headset?
- Microsoft LX-3000 is recommended. The USI Bookstore also carries this model.
- A webcam is not required for the meeting participants. Only 6 webcams are able to displayed online during the meeting.
Do your students know when and where to meet you online?
Meeting schedule and web links should be emailed to students as well as posted on Blackboard
Do you know how to locate the meeting recording?
The recording link is included in the confirmation email. Posting the recording link on Blackboard is highly recommended.

Please note: A unique weblink will be assigned to each Blackboard Collaborate meeting session. Thus, you need to provide the meeting date(s), time, and the meeting title (e.g. ENG101-1) for EVERY session when requesting for the Blackbaord Collaborate meeting room.
