* Faculty Support Services
The Department of Distance Learning provides a variety of faculty support and consultation services to better facilitate faculty's online course development and delivery needs.
- Faculty Walk-in Support Center
Faculty can stop by the Faculty Innovation Studio (FA 46) during the hours of operation and receive ad-hoc learning technology training and/or online teaching support immediately. NO appointment is needed.
- The Mobile Support Station
A team of student technology consultants comes to individual college and provides one-on-one support to assist faculty with their online teaching needs. This initiative is currently experimented at COB and LA only.
- Online (Blackboard) Exam Support
Distance Learning faculty at USI can seek online (Blackboard) exam development support. Simply providing the exam questions and answers on a word document, the DL staff will convert the exam file in a Blackboard-friendly format. For details, please send your inquiry to DLHelp@usi.edu or call 812/228-5124.
- On-Campus Exam Proctoring Service
Faculty can arrange the on-campus proctoring service for their online students who are unable to participate in the regular class exam schedule. This service currently is only available to Distance Learning faculty/students and pre-scheduled appointment is required.
- External Proctor Screening Service
The Distance Learning staff offers the external proctor screening service to Distance Learning students who are unable to either participate during the regular class exam schedule or schedule an on-campus proctoring appointment. To get started, please submit the proctor form to the Department of Distance Learning via email firstname.lastname@example.org or fax 812/465-7131
