Improving Your Online Course (IYOC)  |  0 of 25 seats available

The “Improve Your Online Course” workshop explores the QM Rubric and provides a framework to improve the quality of online courses. Participants use the QM Rubric to review their online courses and develop a course improvement plan. The content is based on the eight general standards of the Quality Matters Rubric.  You should have an online course ready to improve. This course is not for building a course from scratch.

Peer Reviewer Certification (PRC) -  Two-week Online Workshop
Register now!
This is the second required course for the QM Peer Reviewer Certification.

It is designed to prepare experienced online faculty to become Quality Matters Certified Peer Reviewers.  The PRC includes a review of Quality Matters, practice critiquing and writing helpful recommendations, and a Practice Review in which the participants are asked to review specific standards in an online course using a simulated online rubric tool.

QM expects all Peer Reviewers to give significant attention to their reviews, so the Peer Reviewer Course (PRC) is modeled after those expectations.  Since the PRC leads to certification as a peer reviewer, it is a rigorous course and demands significant time and attention. Participants can expect to spend 8-10 hours per week to complete this course.

The course may also be taken by others interested in learning more about the peer reviewer role. Instructional designers or faculty who do not have current online teaching experience may take the PRC to meet institutional goals of conducting internal reviews (that do not lead to QM Recognition).
