USI Student Taking A |
Registration:
Cross-institution registration in distance education courses via the Indiana
College Network is facilitated through the USI Learning Center. Contact
the Learning Center via email or telephone at 812/465-7182 or 800/813-4238 (outside Evansville). You may NOT register via
MyUSI for these
courses.
You need to complete the ICN pre-registration form to indicate your interest in taking a distance
education course through the ICN partnership. Completion of this form does not guarantee enrollment in the course. You will be contacted by the USI Learning Center Coordinator to confirm your interest and course availability.
Academic advisor approval is required before your registration is processed. As with on-campus courses, pre-requisites or placement tests may be
required.
Because this type of registration takes longer to process, you must allow extra time to consult your advisor and the Learning Center Coordinator. If you start the process early, you have a better chance of getting enrolled in your desired
course. The
Registration for non-USI distance education courses ends at 4:30pm
Wednesday prior to the start of classes. You are not able to register for these courses
during the late registration period.
Note: You will appear in USI's computer system, NOT in the system of the originating institution. It will NOT be necessary to request a transcript upon course
completion.
Exam Proctoring:
You are able to utilize exam proctoring services offered by the USI
Learning Center at no cost.
Course Drop/Withdrawal:
You are responsible for your enrollment. Consult the USI academic calendar for drop and withdrawal deadlines and refund information. Consult your academic advisor before dropping or withdrawing from courses. Dropping
courses may affect financial assistance, health insurance coverage, and other
things. USI's policies for revising
a course schedule (fall/spring terms) and withdrawing
from a semester (fall/spring terms) are available online.
You may drop courses via MyUSI or the regular course drop form. If you live outside Evansville, you may complete the online form and fax it to the USI Registrar's Office at 812/464-1911. Note: The date that this completed form is received by the USI Registrar's Office is considered the course drop or withdraw date.
Note: Lack of participation in a non-USI course does NOT mean an automatic withdrawal. If the appropriate drop/withdrawal paperwork is not processed, you will receive an F in the course, and this grade will appear on your USI records.
Billing:
Billing for distance education courses follows the same process as on-campus
courses. The Bursar's Office is able to take credit card payment via telephone
at 812/464-1842 or online via MyUSI.
To pay online, log into MyUSI and click
Self Service > Students and Financial Aid > Student Records > View
Bills/Pay
Effective fall 2006, enrolled students must take action to drop/withdraw
themselves from any classes. The
University will no longer cancel students’ classes for failure to settle
their accounts.
Information about Express
Pay, an electronic system for all students to view their bills, print
their bills and make payments online, is available online.
USI Tuition and Fee information:
General information about USI
tuition and fees as well as information about additional
distance education fees is available online.
