Faculty Technology Loaner Program

The mission of the Faculty Technology Loaner Program is to provide modern learning tools that promote quality online learning and teaching innovations at University of Southern Indiana (USI).

EligibilityPolicy

Any USI faculty who is scheduled or desires to teach a Distance Learning course in the next 12 months is welcome to participate in the Faculty Technology Loaner Program.

Location & Hours of Operations

Faculty can check out reserved equipment at the Faculty Innovation Studio, which is Forum Administration (FA) building room 46, across from the Department of Distance Learning.

Loaner Procedures

  1. Submit the online loaner request form at least 24 hours before the check-out date  https://docs.google.com/forms/d/11EIGOFlre9Qg819vHBEwnTBmOUHGipT7SoJvA7R7Vas/viewform.
  2. Check out the equipment at the Faculty Innovation Studio located in Forum Administration room 46.
  3. Present your USI ID and sign the loaner agreement.
  4. Get a quick usage overview of the equipment.
  5. Ensure you have all the equipment pieces and every piece is functional before leaving the check-out counter.
  6. If you wish to renew the loaned equipment for another week, please call (812) 228-5124 to check on the availability. 

Policy and Guidelines

  • Renewal: One time renewal (a week) is offered if there is no one on the waitlist.
  • Late Return: If any faculty fails to return equipment and all its components on time, he/she will lose check-out privileges for a month.
  • Damage or Loss: If any faculty fails to return equipment and all its components, an invoice will be sent to you and your department for the equipment replacement cost. Faculty is responsible to file a police report if the equipment is stolen.
