Welcome to the Virtual Orientation!

Virtual orientation is an option available to students enrolled in Distance Learning degree programs and to non-degree-seeking students only. Information about USI's New Student Orientation or Transfer and Non-Traditional Student Orientation is also available. 

If you have not been admitted to USI, information and access to online applications is available from the Office of Admission.  If you would like to visit USI in person, please contact the Office of Admission for details.

USI Distance Learning enables students to enroll in courses that fit their circumstances or lifestyle. The following is a listing of resources specifically for students taking Distance Learning courses at USI.

USI Learning Center:

USI Distance Learning Student Handbook:
This detailed document explains the differences between traditional and Distance Learning courses, outlines steps for starting and completing Distance Learning courses and provides students with useful university contacts.

Distance Learning Services at the David L Rice Library

Indiana College Network:
The Indiana College Network (ICN) is your gateway to e-learning from Indiana colleges and universities. ICN lists more than 1,500 courses and more than 100 degree and certificate programs via Distance Learning from colleges and universities you know and trust. No matter how near or far you are from a campus, you can take classes that add skills, enrich your course of study, or add dimension to your existing degree.
