Dean's Welcome

Welcome to the Bower-Suhrheinrich College of Education and Human Services. We are proud of the undergraduate and graduate programs offered by our talented faculty and staff and our inviting and caring learning environment.

Our goal is for you to be successful in your educational pursuits. We have outstanding programs designed to meet your needs - whether it be a teacher, social worker, or fitness instructor. We offer "hands-on" experiences through service learning, field experiences, and student teaching that integrate theory and practice.

We attract excellent students who have strong commitments to their professions. Our programs are nationally recognized and fully accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).

The College has a rich history of providing students with a wide range of service and outreach activities in partnership with urban, suburban, and rural schools and communities, human service agencies and professional organizations - both locally and internationally.
