Only three proposal submission deadlines per academic year Proposal submission deadlines are now the first Friday of each month during the fall and spring semesters.
Budgetary restrictions for certain items including localized travel for research, computers, certain types of artistic supplies like precious metals. Budgetary restrictions lifted. Can be used to fund local travel to conduct research, to purchase necessary computers or software, as well as supplies and materials needed to complete the project.
No ability to use budget funds for student research stipends. Up to 50 percent of total requested budget can now be used to pay students hourly wages for work on faculty written project proposals.
Proposals could only be written by students, with assistance from faculty sponsors. Proposals can still be written by students with faculty assistance,
OR
they can be written by faculty who wish to include students into their research and creative efforts.
Maximum award amount was limited to $1000. Maximum award amount is now $2500 for student written proposals or $4000 for faculty written proposals.
